As a seasoned writer, editor and publisher, I thrive on deadlines and get things done for my clients. My work has a proven track record in the industry. Under my guidance four of the publications, that I have overseen received industry awards as have some of my articles. A recent article of mine cemented a prestigious award for a client’s innovation in aviation. Over the years I have had the pleasure of writing for both consumer and trade publications in numerous industry sectors. It is always a pleasure to get to know and assist individual clients, associations and large corporations with their needs. From a press release to publishing a magazine, writing an article or a book, event planning, consulting or cover-worthy magazine photography I am happy to help.
About Me
Before I began working for myself, I was clocking in over 40 hours a week overseeing four magazines (21 issues a year!), writing, editing, managing layout and design, heading subscriptions, marketing, social media…you get the picture. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the work, but after a health issue I decided life was too short to work that hard for someone else. It took me a while to get back on my feet, and even when I couldn’t write, I knew I would never do anything else and that it would only be a matter of time before I began working from home. Since then I have had the opportunity to write in new industry sectors, undertake a 50th-anniversary historical book for a client, and write stories that have had a social impact.
It’s liberating to write about intriguing new-to-me topics and push myself in new directions. My passion for writing stems from my curiosity about the world around me; every story is an opportunity to learn something new and work with amazing people. Changing how and where I work has made an enormous difference in my life. I have more time to spend with my husband, two boys and fur babies, volunteer in my community and explore the great outdoors and world around me.
